STROOCK EXPANDS PRIVATE FUNDS GROUP WITH ADDITION OF PARTNER ERIC REQUENEZPublished : 7 years ago, on
Mr. Requenez advises investment advisers, investment banks and other financial institutions in fund formation and related regulatory and securities matters; joins growing list of high-quality laterals arriving to Stroock this year – in corporate, real estate, tax, government contracts and financial restructuring
Adding an experienced investment funds attorney to its Private Funds Group, Stroock announced the arrival of Eric Requenez, a lawyer with substantial experience in private and registered investment funds matters. He joins as partner in the New York office.
Mr. Requenez brings a broad-based practice, representing fund sponsors, investment advisers, investment banks and other financial institutions in connection with the structuring and distribution of public and private investment funds, proprietary products and securities offerings. He also regularly counsels investment funds and investment advisers on transactional, regulatory and compliance issues related to the Investment Advisers Act, the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Securities Act and the Securities Exchange Act, including in connection with mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Requenez joins from Morrison & Foerster, LLP. Previously, he practiced for seven years in the Investment Management Group at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher&Flom LLP.

Mr. Requenez’s client list includes sponsors of private equity funds, hedge funds, hybrid funds, fund-of-funds, real estate funds, energy and infrastructure funds and venture capital funds.
