MERCIA OPENS NEW OFFICE IN LEEDSPublished : 7 years ago, on
Mercia Fund Managers, part of Mercia Technologies PLC, has opened a new office in Leeds city centre to support its continued growth in the region. The business has moved to larger offices at the new Platform building located on New Station Street, from its former home at Princes Square.
To mark the opening Mercia held a networking event at La Bottega Milanese, which was attended by more than 40 people from the SME and advisory community. As well as celebrating the new office opening, the event also helped to raise awareness of the significant capital which Mercia is now able to invest in the region, including equity and loans from the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund (NPIF), on behalf of the British Business Bank.
Mercia is focused on building its presence in the Leeds region, along with its seven other regional offices including Sheffield, Manchester, Edinburgh, Preston, Liverpool, Birmingham and its head office in Henley-in-Arden, Warwickshire.
It comes just one month after Mercia Technologies PLC’s fund management subsidiaries, which include Enterprise Ventures and Mercia Fund Management, rebranded to Mercia Fund Managers.
Julian Viggars, NPIF Equity Fund Manager and Head of Technologies at Mercia Fund Managers, said: “This is an exciting time for Mercia as we continue to build our team of experienced investment specialists and expand into a larger office space. As part of our ambitious growth plans, we are looking forward to seeing the exciting opportunities from the region which we can invest in and help drive further growth across the North of England.”
