Following a long career in management positions with Bradford and Bingley, he joins from the Alternative Bridging Corporation and brings more than 30 years’ lending experience to the role.

Signature believe the appointment demonstrates their ability to recruit high calibre individuals with the experience, contacts and skills to enhance its burgeoning reputation with property investors and finance brokers.

Tromanssaid of his appointment: “I’m joining Signature at a good time; it’s an ambitious business with a clear growth strategy and I’m excited to be part of its future.

“In recent years, I’ve heard nothing but good things about Signature, whether it was talk of the product offering or the service delivered to brokers and direct to property investors. They are building a reputation for finding ways to lend, not turn deals down.

“It’s a streamlined service; if the deal fits the criteria, the decision will be made quickly and efficiently. Clients can trust Signature to deliver what they need, when they need it and that makes my life dealing with brokers much simpler.

“This is a competitive market and despite the low rates and high LTVs, it is the speed and consistency of decision making when deals are presented that makes the difference. And having talked to Tony and the team at Signature, I’m convinced they have the edge.

“The comprehensive service is supported by an experienced team that really understands the short-term property finance market and its challenges. I’m confident I have made a good decision and that my experience will help the business achieve its stretching targets for 2018.”

Signature CEO, Tony Gilbertson commented: “This is a great appointment for Signature, which shows the ambition of our business.Paul is a great asset and will not only allow us to sustain our recent impressive growth, but ensure we have the contacts and resources to achieve the targets we have set for 2018.

“We have grown our business and our team in a relatively short time, to become the short-term lender of choice for many property professionals. And the future looks good, given there is still plenty of optimism in the market.

“With the experience and knowledge Paul brings to our service offering and growing business development team, we are expecting a big 2018 for Signature.”
