Recruitment Spree Continues at Ascertus Limited to Support Business GrowthPublished : 6 years ago, on
Close on the heels of the recent appointment of the new Technical Consultant, Ascertus Limited announces the recruitment of three more executives to the team. Zak Ali joins as Project Manager, Warren Matthews as Solutions Architect and Maggie Lai as Business Development Executive.
As Ascertus meets its strategic business growth objectives, these appointments have been made to ensure that the company’s growing customer base is well supported. Ascertus provides document and information lifecycle management solutions to law firms and corporate legal departments in the UK and across Europe.

The quality of our professionals is fundamental to our growth and so naturally, we are very watchful that we employ the right people with the right experience and expertise in all the roles,” Roy Russell, CEO of Ascertus Limited, said. “Zak, Warren and Maggie have the expertise we need, but also gel well in the overall organisation, they have the vital interpersonal skills alongside the technical expertise. This kind of cohesion is important for smooth and efficient delivery of service. Additionally, they have the necessary understanding of corporate legal departments in the finance industry, a sector where we are gaining good traction for our services.”
The project management team has been augmented with Zak Ali as Project Manager. Responsible for ensuring that projects for customers in his portfolio are delivered on-time, on-budget and smoothly; Ali will be undertaking consultancy, project management, business analysis and business processes. He brings with him over 16 years of experience of delivering technology projects in the legal industry including for a Magic Circle law firm and corporate legal departments in major global banks and financial institutions. Prior to Ascertus, he was a Consultant at Yerra Solutions. Over the course of his career, he has held positions at Linklaters and Credit Agricole too.
With a solid background in the document management space, Warren Matthews has joined as Solutions Architect. He is involved in projects that require iManage Work integration with practice management and a variety of other legal business systems. He is also undertaking bespoke software development where required to meet specific customer needs. Prior to this role, Matthews was an Analyst Programmer at Bird & Bird. Other organisations he has worked at previously include One Degree Consulting and Ilcon. Over his 21 years in the industry, he has worked on a number of big scale projects for corporate legal departments in financial institutions and banks, and telecommunications companies.
Maggie Lai, as Business Development Executive, is supporting the lead generation activity in the company. She engages with prospects to understand their business requirements and advises them on solutions that they can explore to meet their needs. Prior to this role, Lai held a similar position at Nikec Solutions. She has also held a position at the Priory Group. She has a Master’s degree in Behavioural Economics from the University of Warwick.
