UNISYS UNVEILS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE CENTER OF EXCELLENCE TO HELP CLIENTS BUILD ADVANCED DATA ANALYTICS CAPABILITIESPublished : 8 years ago, on
Virtual center will provide free toolkits to give users access to methodologies and best practices related to advanced data analytics
Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) announced today the planned launch of the new Unisys Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence (COE), through which users gain free access to online tools to help them develop capabilities in advanced data analytics.
The virtual COE is expected to open online in May 2017, giving registrants access to free tools, methodologies and best practices in areas of artificial intelligence such as:
- Machine learning – Users will have access to subject matter experts and machine learning algorithms to help them build predictive models to serve their specific industry needs. For example, banks will be able to use the tools to build models to help predict and prevent credit card fraud, or airlines can build models to analyze passenger flows at airports or improve flight connections.
- Cognitive computing – Users will be able to access chatbots, or automated intelligent assistants, that can carry on conversations to help in problem solving in areas such as help desk and end user support services.
- Cyber analytics – The center will provide intelligence tools to predict cybersecurity threats by detecting anomalies in user behavior, monitoring business applications and detecting vulnerabilities using data from the user’s security operations centers and security information and event management tools.
- Internet of Things (IoT) analytics – The center will feature location-aware software tools to help users leverage the immense amount of machine data generated by IoT devices. For example, IoT analytics using sensors, beacons and mobile apps can help banks or retail businesses support customer analytics.
“Within just a few years, the overwhelming majority of large and midsize organizations globally will deploy analytics applications or advanced analytics as part of a platform to improve business decision-making,” said Dr. Rod Fontecilla, vice president and global lead for analytics at Unisys. “We want to give users an opportunity to learn about how artificial intelligence can help build those capabilities by giving them access to the unique tools and expertise offered by Unisys to help them remain competitive in the future.”
